The Private Sector Commission is reporting that the inventory supply of businesses in the Lethem community region 9 is running low. The commission is appealing to its members across the country for cash donations to aid in the ongoing flood relief efforts.

Captain Gerald Gouveia said as flood relief efforts continue across the affected region the extent of the damage and losses is becoming more visible.

Captain Gouveia believes that the government should use the flood as a lesson to improve the current developmental plan for region nine.

The private sector has indicated its support to the government and other agencies in bringing normalcy to the affected areas.

Donations can be made through two bank accounts set up by the Private Sector, Republic Bank – Account Number 2-3-5-2-7-7-1 and Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry – Account Number C-1-I-A-0-7-8-9-2-1
