Police Examining Surveillance Footage to Catch Industry Business Man’s Murderer
The Police are examining surveillance video footage to positively identify the killer in that early Saturday morning execution of an industry businessman Mark Kandhai.
Capitol News has obtained a copy of the video which shows the lone gunman walking up to the shop to make a purchase just after 2 Saturday morning. After making the purchase he turns around then head back to the counter, whips out a gun and fires 3 shots. Two of the gunshots hit Kandhai. The gunman then ran to a waiting car and made good his escape. The father of six collapsed in the shop and was pronounced dead on arrival at the GPHC.
Kandhai operated a small grocery and variety shop on a 24 hour basis at industry east coast Demerara. The police are reporting that he had a few brushes with the law and was suspected to be involved in drug trafficking, but his family members are calling for the evidence to support such claims.
Grieve stricken relatives are hoping that the police will track every clue and bring the killer to justice especially now that the gun man has been caught on tape.
