AFC Claiming Hinterland Areas Underdeveloped
The Alliance for Change after a number of visits to four villages in Region 8 is reporting that the underdevelopment of those areas has reduced the quality of life for the Amerindian people. Party Member, Pra-deep Bachan pointed out that while Amerindians are known for farming, much attention is not being placed on those villages by the government.
Bachan noted that according to the resident’s when road work is being undertaken skilled persons in the area are not included which the party believes should not be the case.
The Alliance for change party has noted that government has spent monies on areas that will not promote any development in the villages.
The opposition party believes that the government has failed in its attempt to ensure that the Amerindian villages are properly developed since taking office.
