East Bank Access Road in Poor Condition
A section of a road at Ketley and Howes Streets in Charlestown is cause for concern to some road users. The problem is that the road is being used as a detour to accommodate construction work on a bridge on Sussex and Staffon Streets.
To make matters worse the overflowing sewerage has made the area very unhealthy, much to disgust to business operators and patrons in the vicinity.
But some drivers are not pleased with the current condition of the road. Those most affected are commuters of the east bank of Demerara.
The situation is expected to return to some normalcy as works are progressing to complete the widening of the Sussex Street Bridge soon.
