Red Jet to Land in Guyana Next Month
Redjet, which names itself the Caribbean’s low fares airline, is just about ready to take off, projecting the end of high fares in the region. REdjet has just received permission to fly from Guyana to Barbados and will commence operations on May 8, with fares as low as US$9.99.
Ian Burns, whose background is in corporate finance and business development is the chief executive officer of REdJet. He founded the airline with his son Robbie, who previously worked with Digicel in business development.
With its low fares, the big question is whether Redjet would be able to sustain operations. It’s a question Ian Burns finds easy to answer.
Initially, Redjet intends to operate fights from Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad and Jamaica. The airline will announce full details of its Guyana/Barbados operations next Monday.
