Lall to be Guyana’s Ambassador in Brazil
Head of the presidential secretariat, Dr. Roger Luncheon said the move to have the local government minister take up the post as the new ambassador to Brazil was a decision taken by the President.
He noted that President Bharrat Jagdeo is free to rearrange any of his government ministers even if it mean taking up a diplomatic post in another country. Dr. Luncheon when questioned about the new appointment would not give a clear answer about the motive behind the reappointment of the minister.
The Minister of Local Government Kellawan Lall will soon take up the position as Guyana’s ambassador in Brazil. Lall’s current office will be filled by Parliamentarian Norman Whittaker.
When Minister Lall will be named Ambassador to Brazil he will then take up the Brasilia positing formerly held by Harrinarine Nawbatt.
