[bitsontherun i8zKiZIB]
The People’s National Congress Reform is calling on the government to make the disaster preparedness program a priority before it is too late. The party believes this is necessary taken into consideration the recent natural disasters around the world.

Party Leader, Robert Corbin said the PNCR strongly believes that it is an area that should be a matter of national priority. He pointed out that the country continues to feel the unpleasant effects of heavy rains.

Corbin said the 2005 flood is evidence that the country has not yet developed the capacity to deal with such disasters.

The country’s coast has always been under threat from the Atlantic Ocean since the coast is below sea level. Over the weekend the country experienced nonstop rainfall which left several communities under water.
