New Type Phone Directory Launched
A new and innovative service launched by two Guyanese men will now allow persons using their mobile phones to access the telephone numbers of registered and unregistered businesses in the country free of cost. Since it is believed that not many persons would have access to a phone directory while on the road, the new service according to the developers is aimed at putting the power of the phonebook in the cell phone of the customers despite of which network they are on.
Already persons can log onto www.Oi.gy on their phones, type the name of a business or the name of an individual who owns a business and get the contact details with a click to call feature. Although the service at the moment just has a few businesses listed the developers are hoping to get a lot more businesses on board.
Speaking to media operatives, brainchild Ajay Baksh and David Goolsaran said, that the idea was conceptualize not only with the cell phone users in mind but also businesses who want to advertise at a low cost of $22 per day.
