Lesbians’ Love Affair Ends In Death
The love affair of two women, ended tragically in the wee hours of Sunday morning after one stabbed the other to death.
Dead is 25 year old Sonobia James of Rasville Housing Scheme. Reports are that James was allegedly stabbed by her 19 year old female lover Tiffany Clarke, in front of the Red dragon night club on Robb Street during a scuffle.
Clarke made her first court appearance today at the Georgetown Magistrates Court.
In an interview with this newscast, the teen’s mother said that her daughter was the victim of domestic abuse.
She said that the young woman who left her house at the age of 17 to live with the older woman suffered years of physical violence but was never open about it.
The woman said while she was not appreciative of her daughter’s lifestyle, she is not at all happy with the abuse she suffered. Clarke However noted that she is saddened by how the two women relationship ended.
Relatives of the alleged perpetrator also believe that the incident on Saturday was a clear case of jealously since the victim first attacked the 19 year after seeing her in the company of another female outside the club. And in an interview with Capitol News on the issue of violence, Representative of SASOD Vidyaratha Kissoon said that domestic violence is still very much an issue and it must be condemned at all levels.
The matter will again come up for hearing on March 28th and the police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
