With Mashramani just around the corner the culture ministry seems not to be happy with a few companies which have not expressed any interest to be part of the annual float parade. Minister Dr. Frank Anthony during a media briefing said only twenty five companies have since confirmed their participation. He noted that companies both large and small were targeted to be part of the road march as a letter was sent to such companies about the competition.

Dr. Anthony said while the response has not been overwhelming by the business community young designers have expressed interest in creating costumes at an affordable price.

Meanwhile, Banks DIH Marketing Manger has indicated the company’s participation in this year’s parade which will kick off from camp and Church Street on February 23.
The closing date for the Road March Competition registration is January 29. The parade would usually being an end to the Mashramani celebrations in Georgetown.
