Police Force Hold Conference To Address Issues Affecting Police Performance
Senior officers of the Guyana Police Force on Friday attended a one day conference which was aimed at addressing issues and concerns affecting the force performance.
Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee pointed out that the Conference is timely as the country gears up for General elections. He is of the opinion that it would be up to the law men and women of the force to ensure a peaceful election year.
Rohee noted that sergeants and inspectors are the ones who have a critical role to play in the daily management of the police force.
Police Commissioner Henry Greene encouraged the officers to use the conference to find solutions to the many issues which are encountered by management of the various units and stations.
The conference targeted inspectors and sergeants from the various police divisions.
