Opposition Leader Refuses To Release Names Of His Sources
Opposition leader Robert Corbin is not about to release the name of his sources who he said provided him with information that President Bharrat Jagdeo was seeking advice on how he could extend his current term in office. The President has since denied seeking any such advice and has challenged the opposition to leader to release the names of his sources. Something Corbin doesn’t intend to do.
Earlier this week, Corbin did meet with Jagdeo but on local government issues especially the problem in the mining town of linden with the council problems there. But he said the issue about that extension did not form part of the meeting.
And he made it clear that while the President has been denying the possibility of seeking a 3rd term, he Corbin was making specific reference to a possible extension.
