As Christmas slowly approaches the Guyana Police Force Band on Tuesday visited the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre to spread Christmas cheer. The band played a number of holiday songs much to the delight of the children. It was a cheerful moment for many as they were seen singing and shaking while the band performed. In some cases, the music was too much for some who just couldn’t resist the rhythm of the band and had to express it by dancing.

Anneal Pertab who attends the institution said he enjoyed the performance by the band. The lad noted that Christmas is his favorite time of the year and growing up has not caused him to forget the true meaning of the season.

Special Department Teacher, Earlyne Jones said for the past five years the children would usually look forward to the performance by the Guyana Police Band around.

The Centre provides rehabilitative services for children with various types of physical and other developmental disabilities.
