Faith Harding Confident In Becoming PNC Presidential Candidate
As party groups begin to hand in their nominations for the PNC presidential candidate position, the only woman in the race Dr Faith Harding is watching on from a distance. Dr Harding is in Sudan wrapping up a World Bank project in the African nation but her thoughts are on Guyana and its future. Speaking to capitol news today from Sudan via Skype, Dr Harding explained that though she is not on the ground like the other candidates she is still getting a lot of work done. She arrives in Guyana on the 22nd December and intends to launch a campaign the likes of which Guyana may have never seen before and she is hoping that her campaign propels her to the nomination. Because as her campaign team puts it…GUYANA NEEDS FAITH.
Dr Harding said once she is given the nod to run for president of Guyana, she will hit the ground running and get the work done in time for the elections, if she is elected, she believes she can begin leading Guyana from the morning after. She notes that she has been paying attention to the many issues affecting Guyana and Guyanese and said she has what it takes to be a strong leader. She speaks of her experience on the international stage, putting governments and administrations in place in some of the most troubled parts of the world.
Dr Harding noted that she is surprised with all of the support she has been picking up. She has been using the internet and the social websites to get her word to the people. Before arriving in Guyana Dr Harding will spend a few days in the Washington and new York areas meeting with the Guyanese community there.!!!!
