Linden Criminal Turned Informant
The wanted man who was captured in linden and who admitted to murdering two of his accomplices is believed to be providing information to the police force about his gang which police believe was responsible for the ministry of health fire. But relatives of the man say now that he has been captured, they would like the police to leave them alone. The man’s sister today complained to capitol news that since her brother’s capture in Linden, the family has found itself being harassed by the police. The mother has been arrested and held for questioning 2 days now and men purporting to be police officers picked up the 15 year old brother of the wanted man.
According to the man’s sister, who did not want her identity to be revealed, the family had no part of whatever her brother is being accused of and before he was held, he was not heard from for over a year, she said she cannot understand why the family is still being targeted.
She said her mother and young brother should not be made to pay for the sins of the older brother.
The arson suspect Colin Jones was first held just after the health ministry fire but mysteriously walked out of the providence lock ups without a trace. From all appearances the man has been living in a remote part of Linden ever since then.
Now the Guyana police force is turning its attention on who may have been financing the criminal group.
