Over 1400 Students Graduate From The University Of Guyana
Justice Roxanne George believes there is need for more adherence to the rule of law as a way of national development. The high court judge was at the time delivering the feature address at the University of Guyana’s 44th graduation ceremony.
Justice George told the graduates that they have been equipped with the necessary skills to face the challenges of the world and should help in the development of the country.
Valedictorian, Michael George who was a student in Public Management received the President’s Medal. George said his life at the university was not easy but with dedication he was able to overcome the many challenges that presented itself.
The Chancellor’s Medal for the second best graduating student was won by Nelsonia Persaud-Budhram while the Prime Minister’s Medal for best graduating student in Public Management and medical student went to Ian lee Chung and Ronette Goodluck respectively. Just over 1400 students graduated on Saturday.
