University Of Guyana Prepares For 44th Annual Graduation
As the University of Guyana prepares for its 44th annual Graduation exercise concerns are being expressed over the decreased number of students in this year’s batch at the Turkeyen Campus. The University is reporting a decline of just over 150 students compared with last year while the Berbice campus has seen a minimal increase in its numbers.
Deputy Registrar, Vincent Alexander during a press briefing noted that over one thousand two hundred students are expected to graduate from the various faculties, schools and the Institute of Distance and Continuing Education over the weekend.
Alexander said the University is working to improve the quality of service being offered to students.
The University’s Graduation Ceremony is set for November, 20 at 4:30 pm but should it rain the ceremony will be moved to the National Cultural Centre. One week later the Berbice campus will have its graduation exercise.
