Providence Community Affected By Flood Waters

[bitsontherun oRl4jPcU]

Some residents of the Providence community are expressing concern over the state of the drainage system within the area. The residents of back street said with the current rainfall they are faced with high waters and it is affecting their daily lives.

The community members noted that several reports were made to the regions National Drainage Irrigation Authority about the current situation but nothing has been done so far. Residents believe because the community is low lying and only one Sluice is operational that’s the reason why they are faced with flood waters.

Meanwhile, a woman in the city is counting her blessings after she was awakened by the sound of something crashing on her house during the heavy thunderstorms early this morning. The woman said she is happy that it was only the fence that was damaged and not her home.
