Two Robbed At Gunpoint At The Georgetown Seawalls

At about 2:00 am today two men were at the Georgetown Seawalls when they were held up by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm. The perpetrators took away a quantity of gold and silver jewellery along with $20,000.00 and a cell phone from the victims and escaped in a motor car.

Quick response to the report by the police led to the interception of the motor car at Norton Street and Louisa Row, Georgetown, and the arrest of one of the men. A silver chain was found in his possession which has been identified by one of the victims as being his property. The man is in police custody and will be charged shortly.
