David Granger’s Plan To Win PNC Presidential Candidacy
E6-Gateway to a good life. That’s the plan David Granger is putting forward to get the Presidential Candidate nod for the Peoples National Congress and it’s the same plan he intends to advance to the Guyanese people once he gets the nod and leads the party into the next elections.
The E6 Plan represents 6 priorities that a Granger government would have. Education, employment, enterprise, economy, equality and empowerment.
Granger appears to have stepped into full campaign mood as the PNC begins the process of choosing its Presidential candidate. For Granger it may be a case of let the best person win.
The former army commander said he is confident that he will get the nod. He has been meeting with party groups and supporters across the country and has also been in touch with those outside of Guyana. He is convinced that the support is there for him and it’s enough to see him lead the PNC into the next elections and to a national win.
And Granger is already eyeing a running mate. Though the party will most likely have the final say in who becomes the Prime Ministerial candidate also, Granger is already keen on the type of person who may be best suited for the job.
At age 65 Granger would like to see the running mate be someone who is a bit younger than he is. The other 3 candidates in the race for the party’s presidential candidate nod have all been doing their own campaigning. Although Dr Faith Harding only announced her interest this week, campaign pages are already popping up on Facebook for her. She said she is pleased with the support she has been getting. The remaining two candidates Winston Murray and Basil Williams have both been going out into various communities and meeting with supporters.
