Another American Citizen Busted For Drug Trafficking At Cheddi Jagan International

[bitsontherun 4Ux1eKHi]

A 24 Year old American woman is in custody this evening after she was busted at the Cheddi Jagan airport with over 10 pounds of cocaine stashed in 2 large milk tins and the false sides of her suitcase. The woman was an outgoing passenger on Caribbean airlines.

Capitol News understands that the cocaine was sealed in the 2 large powder milk containers. This is the 5th American citizen to be busted with cocaine at the airport over the past few months. On the US Embassy website, there is a warning about cocaine trafficking. Clearly that message may not have reached the 5 Americans.

Just recently, security at the airport decided to place those baggage scanners on the outside in the check in area rather than in that secure area close to the tarmac.

There have been several busts by CANU for this year. But even with the busts here, those arrested seldom pass on information that could further the probe into the local drug trade.
