Linden Man Shot By Off Duty Policeman Not Pleased With Police Investigations

A Linden man Kerwyn Greene who cheated death when he was shot to the chest just 3 inches from his heart by an off duty policeman is not happy with the way the investigations into the matter have been going. The young man told Capitol News that he was shot by the policeman while he held his young daughter in his hand. The policeman and the man’s cousin were involved in an argument over the cousin’s girlfriend, when the man tried to get the facts of the story from the policeman it was then that he was shot.

The man said he has been pushed around by investigators at Linden who he believes are not taking his case seriously even after he spent over a week in the hospital. Justice he said is all that he wants now.

Though he has been discharged, he would still have to go to the hospital for wound dressing. Just recently the chairman of the police complaints authority noted that in many outlying areas, policemen operate as if they are a law unto them own selves.
