The Guyana Police Force believes there is an almost clear link between Saturdays execution styled killing of 5 persons including a 4 year old child and a drug deal gone bad. Though the force is still investigating the matter, it has received information to the effect that the men killed in the incident may have been apart of a drug operation involving cocaine that may have been brought from Venezuela. Police Commissioner Henry Greene
The men who carried out the execution may have had the ones in focus for a while and may have planned the killing well. The woman and her son who were killed in the same car with the 3 men were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The police commissioner also made it clear today that the men killed were no clean cut individuals. Steve Jupiter known as Steve Man was well known to the police force and the force had information on his many illegal activities according to the top cop, he would not say why the force did not always act on the information.
The 5 persons were killed as the car being driven by Jupiter came under heavy gunfire at 2nd avenue Cummings Lodge. The perpetrators made a clean escape leaving very little behind. The police force has however, said that from the spent shells discovered at the scene, an ak47 and 9mm weapons were used. With regard to the AK, there were no matches to previous scenes which may indicate that the weapon was a new one.
