Former High Court Judge, Justice Jaynarine Singh wants to see the Guyana Police force carry on its business in a much more professional manner. The retired High Court Judge who is now in private practice as an attorney found himself before a magistrate today facing traffic charges. But over the weekend the police issued an arrest warrant for the Judge which left him surprised.

According to Justice Singh, he could not believe that the police in the wanted bulletin stated that he refused to submit himself to a breathalyzer test. He said he had already done 3 tests which proved negative when the police asked him to do another test and his attorney advised him against it.

He said over the years, persons have always been complaining about the way the police would carry out their job. Its an issue that ought to be looked at.

Justice Jaynarine singh was today released on his own reconnaissance with relation to the traffic charges.
