No Third Autopsy for Lusignan Woman
The Lusignan woman Bridgette Gangadeen whose lifeless body was found outside the vigilance police station may finally be cremated even as police investigators continue their probe of her death.
Over the weekend, the woman’s funeral was brought to a halt and her body returned to a funeral home as her husband was granted an injunction blocking the cremation and asking for a 3rd autopsy. Today attorneys for the woman’s family and the husband announced that the funeral will now take place as they have reached an agreement.
The 3rd autopsy may not be carried out. Last Friday, the woman’s husband appeared in court charged for driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman’s family believes that she was murdered. Her husband has told a different story claiming that his wife jumped from the vehicle he was driving. The woman’s head was crushed and the husband reportedly continued on his way home, leaving the body on the busy roadway. Police investigators are said to be looking at all possible angles.
