Another Young Cocaine Courier out of Guyana nabbed in NY
May 4, 2010 – A twenty three year old woman SHOSHANAH THOMPSON was held at the JFK airport and subsequently charged for importing over six kilos of cocaine
According to court documents on April 29, 2010, the defendant SHOSHANAH
THOMPSON arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York, aboard a Caribbean Airlines flight BW 522 from Georgetown, Guyana.
US Customs and Border Protection Inspectors pulled her aside for a routine inspection. She presented two bags for inspection by Customs who found that were unusually heavy. On further examination, an inspector discovered a false bottom in each bag. The inspector probed the false bottom and a white, powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine was found. The cocaine weighed 6,563.5 grams.
The woman was granted fifty thousand dollars bail when she appeared in Brooklyn Federal Court.
