Restoration Fund for Cemetery

A restoration fund has now been set up for the Le Repentir Cemetery following a recent meeting by the Advisory Committee.

Speaking to the Media, Deputy Mayor Robert Williams disclosed that the fund was set up to offset the amount of work that has to be done in the burial space.

Williams added that this will see the municipality garnering funds for this specific purpose and not necessarily using up the money given to them by the Government.

Meanwhile, members of the advisory committee said that they are satisfied with the works ongoing at the cemetery and noted that it is a process that requires the cooperation of all stakeholders.

Persons with ideas and suggestions that will help to restore the city’s burial space can share such with the city council and members of the advisory committee.
