No word yet on the missing fishermen
Days after the disappearance of the four Mahaica fishermen including a 14year old boy family members fear the worst after several searches in the deep sea came up empty handed.
The boat Sir Kegan left for its voyage last Tuesday and was scheduled to return late Thursday afternoon, but the crew never returned to shore.
Speaking with the media distraught family members said that they are hoping for the best and where speculating whether the boat had encountered engine problems.
In one of the searches yesterday relatives are reporting that an ice box with the catch was recovered and was positively identified by the wife of the missing captain.
Agriculture minister Robert Persaud visited the Unity Mahaica families and assured them that the government will deploy search and rescue teams to look for the missing men.
