British threaten to withdraw 4 million pounds from Guyana’s security sector
Guyana may lose the British government’s 4 million pounds allocated to assist in the reform of the security sector.
Speaking with reporters British High commissioner, Fraser wheeler said that he is disappointed with the slothfulness of the process and believes that some of those in government are not eager to move the process forward.
An agreement was inked back in 2007 between the Guyana and the British governments, and the high commissioner said that with the growing economic meltdown facing many nations his government is looking for proper management of its resources.
He is hoping that the government will tke the initiative to kick strt the progrmme which many see as an important component that will enhance the national security and intelligence gathering of this country.
