Businessman being sought for murder of Guyanese men in Trinidad
The two Guyanese men who were murdered mafia style in Trindad and Tobago died from single gunshot wounds to their heads according to a post mortem report in the island. Relatives of the two dead men travelled to Trinidad today as preparations begin to bring the men’s lifeless bodies home.
Police in Trinidad are looking for a businessman, they are convinced had something to do with the deaths. The businessman reports indicate was well known to the two men and they may have had problems with him in the past.
The businessman capitol news understands may have threatened the men in the past over a fall out over money and a passport racket. Relatives of the dead men are not saying anything about those reports or the investigations.
They are trying to figure out however what the men could have done to deserve the type of death. They were kidnapped on Saturday at their work site and their dead bodies turned up on Sunday in a river. Their hands were tied behind their backs.
The two construction workers hail from the village of Canje in the Berbice area and have been working in Trinidad for a while. Reports indicate that they would be in regular contact with relatives here and some of their other relatives also lived in Trinidad.
