Kids to receive heart surgeries in India
The Kids first fund’s heart 2 heart save a life programme is up and running and will soon see ten children and two adults traveling to India for heart surgeries next week.
After some set back due to limited funds and resources, head of Kid’s First Fund Varshnie Singh said the estimated cost for the twelve surgeries is close to $90,000 US- a cost she managed to raise through sponsors and fund raising activities.
The former first lady said while she still does not get any support from the governmental level, the long list of children for heart surgeries is constantly reducing.
There are approximately 260 children left to get help through the program.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Kid’s first fund can forward that donation to bank account number 39415 at Scotia bank and 7332 at the New Building Society or visit the head office at 5 Hadfield Street Georgetown.
