Cuba wants US embargo lifted
It has been 48 years since Cuba has been calling on the United States of America to lift the trade blockade it has against that country. Cuba believes that much of its Economic hardships are as a result of the US trade embargo.
Since the inception of that blockade, Cuba is said to be experiencing hardships in the areas of food production, public health, Education and Culture.
Speaking today at a press conference called by the Cuban Embassy here in Georgetown to address this issue and other matters of concern to the Cubans, Charge d’Affaires Pedro Artegas said while the blockade has a direct impact on the country’s population, the economic damage resulting from its application exceeds 93 billion US dollars.
